Addiction Rehabilitation Treatment

Addiction Rehabilitation Treatment is not an easy process for the suffering individual to endure.  Many unpleasantries occur while the client is being treated and recovering.  This painfully harsh experience sees clients experience many unpleasant things including blackouts, dizzy spells, hallucinations, nausea, passing out, shaking, sweating, twitching, and vomiting.  Additionally, violent behavior oftentimes occurs.

Additionally, violent behavior will oftentimes occur during the detox stage of treatment.  So you have to understand why the addiction occurred in some individuals and not others.  You have to understand the psychology behind the addiction if there is ever any hope of the person being successfully treated and recovering.  Therefore it is of critical importance that you understand this psychology behind the addiction if the person can be successfully treated and recover.

In order for clients to be successful in the treatment and recovery process here at our Addiction Rehabilitation Treatment facility, there are 3 aspects that have to be in place with the client where their behavior is concerned:

  • The client must first accept the responsibility of their actions and the resulting consequences.
  • The client must follow certain steps during treatment and recovery, namely specific instructions given by our licensed staff.

The client must realize that treatment and recovery process does not happen overnight and that their addiction took years to develop.  They also need to realize that their addiction was more than a bad event occurring in their lives.

Addiction Rehabilitation involves the processes of cleansing, detoxifying, and ridding the client’s body of the powerfully addictive substance that they have become dependent upon.  Suffice it to say, though it is oftentimes a painful process (as explained above) it proves to be a lifesaver for the client.  Substance addiction typically results in one or more of the following consequences for the addicted person:

  • Addiction destroys the individual at three levels – emotional, mental, and physical – and consequently impacts the lives of the families, friends, and loved ones around them.
  • Addiction leads to a miserable existence and lifestyle that is controlled by the dependency upon the particular substance they continue to ingest.
  • Addiction, if it continues will oftentimes involves certain criminal behavior which ultimately results in the individual being institutionalized.
  • Addiction can ultimately lead the person to an early grave.
