Orange County Drug Rehab

Cleansing and detoxifying a person’s body from the substance that they have become addicted to are the two basic processes involved here at the Orange County Drug Rehab facility.  Unlike the traditional treatment centers, our facility does not rely exclusively on the well-know 12-Step Program or other psychological methods.  Instead we utilize what we like to refer to as treatment and recovery tools such as:

12-Step meetings – though this is still the more standardized form of program and one that we do not use exclusively, our staff here at the Orange County Drug Rehab center are well aware that our clients need to feel comfortable in their surroundings and need exposure to 12-Step meetings.  In this manner, they are supported much better during the treatment and recovery stages.

Educational sessions – clients are allowed access to computers, instructional lectures, and educational videos for the purposes of teaching them about the key elements involved in their personal treatment and recovery.  Some of the topics they are exposed to include:

  • Addiction and Spirituality
  • Codependency
  • Exercise Physiology
  • Health and Nutrition
  • Philosophies of the 12 – step Program
  • Physiological consequences and effects of their substance addiction

Group therapy sessions – another effective treatment and recovery tool here at the Orange County Drug Rehab center are group therapy sessions wherein our clients are placed in a group setting with a licensed professional. This is a closed and extremely confidential meeting.

Traditional One-on-One counseling sessions – clients are also placed in a more private, individual setting wherein they are counseled and supervised by one of our licensed physicians and/or psychologists.  In many instances, they interact with a professional who has dealt with their own problems and undergone rehabilitation themselves.  This enables the client to facilitate their own healing process more easily.

Drug addiction oftentimes results from ongoing depression so it is extremely important that family members and loved ones who suspect there is a problem be aware of this.  There are a number of warning signs that indicate that a problem may exist.  The emotional warning signs include:

  • Constant fatigue and poor sleeping habits
  • Feeling unimportant and worthless
  • Guilt and worry
  • Inability to concentrate or make important decisions
  • Lack of  physical drive and motivation
  • Talking about suicide

Additionally, there are also the more obvious physical symptoms including:

  • Abnormally low energy levels
  • Hysterical outbreaks (crying fits or spells) which occur for no apparent reason
  • Frequency of headaches and migraines
  • Insomnia, restlessness, and generally poor sleeping habits
  • Loss of appetite coupled with noticeable weight loss
  • Unexplained physical aches and pain

If you notice that a family member, fellow employee, friend or loved one is displaying these types of emotional and physical behavior patterns, please contact our caring and considerate staff today here at the Orange County Drug Rehab center.
